Synup and Yext offer pretty much the same service. However, with Yext there is the downside that all the citations the platforms syncs for you across the web disappear as soon as you unsubscribe from the service. Synup’s data, on the other hand, is permanent.
Another major difference is in the two companies’ pricing models. Yext bills its customers on an annual basis, with its cheapest plan being $199 per year while Synup charges, as stated earlier, by location with a decrease in cost as the number of your locations increases. I am considering moving venders. Please explain to me how you lose your citations once you unsubscribe to Yext? Why is the citation permanent for Syup.? Also at 30 a listing the price seems much higher then Yext which has over 70 synced listings.

It is not true that Yext listings disappear after you discontinue service. Many of my clients use it, and of the ones that have discontinued service, none of their listings disappeared. That is a myth.
We suffered through the experience with Yext. If you can avoid using them, do so. Once they got you locked in you’re screwed. In my opinion there is a complete lack or professional courtesy. If you’re stumped on how to do something on their very confusing and convoluted platform and ask for help, you’ll be directed to a FAQ page to sort it out for yourself. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH YEXT. The worst!
