  1. Aww I really enjoyed this article. I must admit that I am a photo fan when it comes to my mobile phone. My friends would scold me that I have too many editing apps on my phone. But I like it because that’s the way I am.

  2. Also check out SnapPrix. Tens of photo contests to test your photography skills. Nice addition to Instagram!

  3. Hello Annie, First of all, thanks for the classic Instagram app list. The new version of Instagram comes with the latest design that makes it faster and valuable. However, these apps add extra magic in the photography. I personally like Superimpose and Double Exposer for the creativity on Instagram.

    • Completely agree – they just add a little something extra. And I haven’t tried those two apps yet myself so I’ll definitely have to check them out. Thanks!

  4. I like many of these apps and use several of them for filters, cropping and adjusting exposure, contrast etc.

Brand new on itunes – Check out RainbowLove Greetings App on itunes and you can add all kinds of colorful rainbows, hearts, boho symbols, geo patterns, borders. Every photo needs some color. With this app you can send or make ecards or use your own photos to make ecards, memories or postcards.

  5. Hello Friends.. You can also Try InstaMapia for instagram to experience instagram in a totally different way, You can save and share images and you can also search for user or hash tags, plus its geo tagging option will help you to take a tour of the world on the map..
    Try this out from:

  6. Do you have any app recommendations for branding your handle and website in the same sized font and location on multiple photos? I’m creating a 365 day program and want to include these elements on each photo but I am having a hard time finding an app that will save this so I can quickly load it.

    • I use Adobe Lightroom for watermarks if this is what you are after, you can create multiple watermarks easy and easy to select and use 🙂

  7. try Instafusion image blender app…..it has a very easy and beautiful interface…

  8. This is a very good list, all the apps are very helpful. It’s great how third-party apps can easily cover almost any need one can feel. Editing apps were always the most widely used, and there was only one domain not covered. And i’m talking about follower management. But since instagram has implemented its following and action per hour limitations, the need has risen significantly. The best app i could find yet is fast-unfollow.com, it can quickly get rid of up to 5000 users not following back per day, so if your a fan of follow-to-follow method – it’ll help you a lot. First 1000 is free so check it out. Hope it’ll be of use for someone;)

  9. If you ask me i think what Instagram really lacks is a fully-functional web-interface. They did a really good job recently, intoruding the way to comment from the siite, but it’s still unable to upload pictures. I don’t upload smartphone pics, i post the naval blueprints so it’s inconvenient for me to send them on my phone first, and as it is impossible with standard means i have to use a third-party service zengram.net. It has a few cool options for automatic interaction with other users, which saves some time as well, but the main thing is the lack of useful tools in the original functionality.

  10. On my part, VSCO cam is on the first place among editting apps. Do you agree with me? By the by, Zengram is the best app for increasing followers. I’d give my right arm for this effective and handy app)

  11. Many great apps in that list, but I especially like VSCO Cam for the creative filters it provides.
I also use PhotoVideoCollage. I like the fact that you can create not only photo, but also video collages and then upload them on Instagram.
The app is free, so who’s interested can check it out on photovideocollage.com.

  12. no one commenting on the fact that they’re basically all Apple applications?

  13. oh come on! what about Android devices!
