Curiosity Protection

Unleashing Bold Initiatives

People love dogs and cats. And they bring with them a wealth of familiar traits, idioms and general knowledge that makes including them in cartoons relatively easy. (Plus they’re fun to draw!)

For example, everyone knows that you “let sleeping dogs lie,” and that “curiosity killed the cat.”  The task as a cartoonist is taking two common phrases like that and combining them into what appears to be some sort of legal conversation above.

  1. Good stuff Mark! Took me a minute but once I got it, I laughed out loud.

  2. Hilarious cartoon! I love when animals are used in cartoons. It makes the point a lot more funny.

  3. Mark,
As a cat person, I have to ask Morris the Cat (in Gothenburg) to comment (meow) on this cartoon. I will be back… 😉
